This handmade sterling silver rose sculpture is presented in a finely woven silver basket. Life size and satin finished, it brings together individually formed petals and leaves with a handwoven basket made using traditional silversmithing techniques.
The form is a rose sculpture in a woven basket, hand-fabricated in sterling silver and weighing 148 grams. Its stated influence is the Taxco silversmithing tradition, and the work is described as an early sculptural exploration of silver form and craftsmanship. Layered petals, an organic structure and woven silverwork give the object its material presence.
Approximately 50 years old, the piece is in excellent vintage condition, with signs of careful age and handling. The rose has long been regarded as a symbol of love, devotion and emotional endurance; here it is presented as a study in translating organic life into silver form.
Drawn from The JewelAri Compendium, it belongs to The Curator’s Cabinet, a group of objects connected to early artistic development, travel, influence and material exploration. It is suited to decorative display, collectors of silver artistry, lovers of Taxco-inspired design, or a silver wedding anniversary gift.
