This sterling silver dolphin ring forms part of the Studio Variations collection, a series developed after the commercial success of earlier sea-life costume jewellery collections. It was created in sterling silver with black rhodium plating and hundreds of individually hand-set cubic zirconia, but the resulting pieces exceeded the intended retail price. Rather than alter the designs, remove stones or reduce their quality, the collection was left as intended.

A dolphin spirals around the finger in a flowing composition that favours movement over symmetry. Its sculptural form is covered with individually hand-set pink cubic zirconia beneath a black rhodium finish.

Originally designed for a luxury retail programme that did not reach production, only a handful of pieces were produced. This ring is an archive sample and is listed in excellent condition. It is hallmarked sterling silver and available in one size only: UK size P / USA size 7 3/4.
