Sterling Silver Starfish Brooch with Pink Cubic Zirconia

This hallmarked sterling silver starfish brooch is set with individually hand-set pink cubic zirconia and finished in black rhodium. Its sculptural five-armed form radiates from a richly textured centre, with pavé-set stones following the tapering shape of each arm.

Developed as a premium interpretation of earlier sea-life costume jewellery collections, the series was commissioned in precious materials with black rhodium and hand-set cubic zirconia. The finished collection exceeded its target retail price and was retained within the studio archive rather than simplified for commercial production.

The black rhodium finish frames the pink stones, while a high-polish finish brings definition to the sculptural surface. A secure brooch pin fastening allows it to be worn on a jacket, scarf or knitwear.

Part of the Studio Variations collection, this brooch is preserved in excellent archive condition. It brings together a starfish motif, contemporary marine jewellery and the considered detail of a design retained as originally created.
