Sterling Silver Shell Brooch with Green CZ and Black Rhodium

This sterling silver shell brooch is finished in black rhodium and set with green cubic zirconia. Its sculptural shell form is crossed by flowing ribbons of polished silver, creating movement and contrast around the pavé-set stones.

Crafted in hallmarked sterling silver, the brooch features individually hand-set cubic zirconia arranged to follow the natural curves of the shell. The black rhodium finish brings depth and definition to the design, while the high-polish silver surfaces provide a measured counterpoint to the green stones. A secure brooch pin fastening completes the piece.

The brooch forms part of Studio Variations, a collection of finished jewellery designs retained within the studio archive after exceeding the intended commercial production price. The original design was preserved without simplifying the stone setting or altering the construction.

Ocean-inspired in character, this contemporary brooch draws on the sculptural language of the shell. It is presented in excellent archive condition.
