This sterling silver dolphin ring is an archive sample from the Studio Variations collection. A dolphin spirals around the finger in a flowing, sculptural composition, with forms covered in individually hand-set pink cubic zirconia beneath a black rhodium finish.
The series was developed after the commercial success of earlier sea-life costume jewellery collections. Made in sterling silver with black rhodium plating and hundreds of individually hand-set cubic zirconia, it was created for a luxury retail programme that did not reach production. The finished pieces exceeded the client’s target retail price, and the designs were left without reducing the number of stones or simplifying their form.
Only a handful were produced. This hallmarked sterling silver ring is in excellent condition and is offered in one size only: UK size P / USA size 7 3/4. Its dolphin motif and asymmetrical movement place it within a study of ocean life and contemporary jewellery design.
