This gold-plated heart pendant belongs to The Birthstone Heart Collection, an original client presentation collection created for a major mail-order jewellery client. The completed collection was prepared for launch, but the project was cancelled before production began.

Designed for February, the pendant centres on a heart-cut Swarovski crystal selected in a colour intended to evoke amethyst. Clear Swarovski crystals are individually hand set around the centre stone, framing the violet colour within a decorative openwork heart design.

The pendant is crafted in gold-plated sculptured metal with a bright gold-plated finish. Its carefully balanced proportions and vintage-inspired styling reflect the development of a coordinated jewellery programme, which also included matching earrings and cufflinks for each birth month.
