This sterling silver pill box is a hinged, circular keepsake box made in England circa the 1990s. Part of the Studio Variations collection in The JewelAri Archive, it features an individually hand-painted enamel lid depicting a golfer preparing an approach shot beside water. Rolling fairways, mature trees and blue sky form the surrounding landscape.
Created as part of Ari D. Norman’s hand-painted enamel giftware, each scene was painted by hand. Slight variations naturally occur between examples. The sterling silver body provides a restrained frame for the enamel artwork, and the interior is finished in highly polished silver.
The box is hallmarked sterling silver and carries English hallmarks. It is described as being in excellent archive condition.
Originally intended as a pill box or personal keepsake, it is also suited to safeguarding rings, earrings, small mementoes or treasured keepsakes. The golfing landscape connects the piece with British sporting tradition and makes it suitable for golfers and golf enthusiasts, collectors of golfing memorabilia, sterling silver collectors, hand-painted enamel collectors, and collectors of Ari D. Norman archive pieces. It is also identified as a Father’s Day or retirement gift.
